And then there was one

It's official. All three kids are in school and for the first time in 12 YEARS I am at home by myself, for the morning at least.

After dropping Blake off last and giving my final hugs and kisses, I made my way outside past crying mamas who were so sad that their little 5 and 6 year olds were growing up, and past many parents holding in their emotions by a thread.

Of course I understood completely.

I too was holding my emotions in by a thread, at least until I reached the school parking lot...

where I let it all out.

Hallelujah sweet Jesus in heaven! I knew this day would come!

And off I went, foot loose and fancy free.

Of course, by mid-morning I was singing a bit of a different tune, as shown in the text message I sent off to Jana: "9:45 am. I'm bored"

Good thing Blake is only going half days this year!
