This translated to about a million dollars (at least, that's what it felt like), and like any good wife I made sure my hard-working husband knew that I was happy for him to splurge on himself, but that I WOULD be getting a new pair of leather boots come my birthday.
That's how things are supposed to work right? ;)
Confession: I will willingly barter with my husband to benefit out of a given situation.
(Pretty sure they don't cover that in premarital counseling.)
So, looky, looky what happened last night!
Wooo, baby! Russ took me boot shopping, and then out to dinner and a movie to celebrate both of our birthdays (his is tomorrow, mine is Friday). It was a really fun date night... especially the boot part :)
What I bought: the Coconuts Britain boot |
They are gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteMy husband is a big hunter. His latest obsession is duck hunting and the season is coming right up. With great retail wisdom they put a Gander Mountain right next to Kohl's. Bless the retail moguls of this world.
Enjoy every step in those new boots.

Hahaha, well played retail planners!
DeleteAny time Nathan has gotten a new bow I call it his mistress. He'll pull it out and pet it and look over every square inch of the darn thing. Hahaha! After 8 years of hunting I'm getting used to being a hunting widow...mostly. :) The boots are totally adorable. I like your negotiating technique. Storing it in my files!
ReplyDeleteRuss's bow is DEFINITELY his mistress! I make so much fun of him for it ;)
DeleteCan't wait until Wednesday to see the new additions in the rotation.
ReplyDeleteI have to wait for a cooler day. Wow, never did I think I'd see the day when I wished for cooler weather!
